Hi everyone!
We started the day off with the hotel buffet breakfast this morning. Ronnie finally worked out he could order eggs so he had an omelette and Milo cereal which was very satisfying.
We locked in tickets for Universal Studios Singapore a while ago so we were committed to going this day no matter the weather. It ended up being really sunny and very humid.

We arrived a bit before the park opened so we had an iced latte and applied sunscreen. We have been pretty careful but is a miracle we haven’t been sunburnt yet. The sun feels intense but in a different way to home. It was then time to enter the park.

We had express passes for USS which allowed us to use the express line once per ride. We started the day on the two thrilling dual Battlestar Galactica rollercoasters but we skipped using our express passes here due to the lines being short. We did child swap which allowed one person to ride in the normal line and the other to use the express line after. It’s a good system.

The two coasters are the Human and Cylon. The Human is a high speed rollercoaster with normal seats but still super fun. The Cylon has 5 inversions and has suspended seats where your feet dangle. It was intense but so great.

We went on the USS version of the teacups ride which is sci-fi themed. Julian said it was fun but also a bit scary.

We were a bit hungry and Julian requested pizza so we stopped in at Loui’s NY Pizza Parlor for a slice. It really hit the spot for Julian.

We then went explored all the lands. The main land at USS is the Minion Land. We went on the simulator ride here and Julian gave it the same evaluation as the teacups ride. A little bit fun and a bit scary.

We wandered through Sci-Fi City and went on the Transformers ride. It was very cool. In the Ancient Egypt area we rode Revenge of the Mummy. It’s an indoor rollercoaster. It was really fun. At Lost World we rode the Jurassic Park Rapids ride. It’s very chill compared to the Jurassic Park water ride at Universal Studios in LA.

We stopped in Far Far Away for a Shrek waffle and a scoop of ice cream which was really delicious. We rode the Puss in Boots ride there which was very tame. We spent some time in the New York City area and did the Lights, Camera, Action experience which simulates a level 5 hurricane. We got a big splash of water on this one!

We rode the Sesame Street Spaghetti Chase ride which was a really well themed dark ride. Definitely on par with some of the great dark rides at Disney.

We finally did some souvenir shopping and ended the day on the Battlestar Galactica roller coasters again. They were great!
We had a great time experiencing the theme park. The heat sure did make it tough at times but we lasted about 8 and a half hours in the park and got to do all that we wanted. We didn’t meet any characters but that’s not really our jam. It’s definitely a lot different to Universal Studios Hollywood so it’s well worth experiencing.

Our top three rides were the Battlestar Galactica coasters, Revenge of the Mummy and Spaghetti Chase.

It was dinner time when we left the park so we headed back to VivoCity to the Food Republic area. We found something to satisfy all of our tastes. We had refreshing Lemon Punch Tea. Julian went to town on a plate of spaghetti and some hot chips. Aimee had LiXin Teochew Fishball Noodle Soup which she’d seen on TikTok and it didn’t disappoint. Ronnie had Hainanese Chicken Rice which is the national dish of Singapore. It was all very yummy.

We then bussed it back to the hotel to relax after another very big day.
