Queensland Road Trip – Day 10 – Brisbane to Gold Coast

Hi everyone,

We started our day in Brisbane with another excellent bacon and egg roll and coffee from sens. Then we readied up and hit the road. Our first stop was only about 5 minutes away at Brisbane’s friendly local board game store where we picked up a few goodies.

Chilling after eating breakfast
Nice

Then we made our way to our first destination Mt Tambourine where we did the Treetop skywalk. It was pram friendly which was great for us and a nice little hike.

Aimee was scared to walk across this
Nice spot for a rest
Less scared in this bridge
Buddy didn’t get to do the hike, just prammed it
He stole a leaf though, at least he didn’t try to eat it like he did with a sea snail yesterday.
A nice time was had

After the trek we got back on the road and ended up at the Gold Coast. It has been 12 years since we have been here together and a lot has changed. We’re staying at Broadbeach which is a really nice area. We are staying right across from the enormous shopping centre pacific fair which is where we went and grabbed lunch at a place called Joe’s deli. A few delicious sandwiches and bubble teas, yes please.

Dang good

We both had fond memories of surfers paradise and Cavill avenue from our old trips here and we took a quick tram ride back there for an hour or so for nostalgia purposes but it is a bit run down and doesn’t have the same fun vibe and charm that it used to.

Surfers paradise

Not a huge day today, lots of walking though so we are spent. Tomorrow should have a lot more of that. We are very much looking forward to the next few days.

Ronnie, Aimee & Julian.
