Hi everyone.
Officially halfway through our road trip holiday. We started the day off by driving down to the wharf at Mooloolaba and grabbing an interesting and completely impractical concoction.

We then went on our morning stroll around the wharf looking at the incredible mansions across the bay.

After our stroll we walked across the car park to the SeaLife aquarium. It is smaller than the Sydney one but also less busy. Julian really enjoyed this. He loved seeing the sea life up close, especially the sharks, the turtles and the penguins. We also watched the seal show that we all loved.

After the aquarium we grabbed some lunch from a very popular Asian fusion restaurant nearby called Riceboi. We got katsu curry fries, pork char sui, dumplings and wings. Best meal we’ve had yet. we also got some freeze dried skittles from a nearby lolly shop. Dang yum!

Shortly after this we set off to our next activity which was a short drive up the coast to a place called The Ginger factory. This place was surprisingly excellent. It’s a ginger themed tourist attraction which was very professional and great considering its weird location in an industrial estate in some nearby rural town. They had a boat ride that was clearly inspired by “it’s a small world”. It was really quite good. They also had a little kids play area that Julian absolutely frothed. We had to buy something ginger here so ginger bread man was the clear and obvious answer.

After we got back we went on a quick beach trip so that Ronnie could have a swim in ocean. It was brief because it was very windy, but that cooled it down a little.

Awesome day all up! We hit the road again tomorrow which means cleaning and packing tonight boo-urns!
Ronnie, Aimee and Julian.
