Hi everyone. Today we set off on our two week road trip adventure. Prior to leaving we bought each other some road trip snacks

We left Bathurst at about 8am and drove two hours to Glenbrook in the Blue Mountains for a stop to stretch our legs and get some treats at Dollys Donuts.

Extravagant and yummy donuts. Would absolutely recommend dollys as a nice little stop. Very popular donut shop and great coffee too!

After our stop at Dollys we drove another approximately 2 hours to a little town called Heatherbrae which is famous for Heatherbrae pies. Of course we had to stop there for lunch.

The pies were okay, nothing special. Doesn’t hold a candle to Carahs. Incredibly popular though, about 100 people in there.
We drove another hour or so when we veered off the highway onto a 5km dirt road that lead to a little picnic spot. This spot was special because following a little 75m boardwalk you come across the Grandis which is the tallest tree in NSW.

We got back in the car and realised that Julian had somehow ended up with a revolting leech on his foot. We got rid of it and the patched up his bleeding before hitting the road again. It was another about 1 hour 45 minutes before we reached port Macquarie. We got dinner from a place called burger urge and ate it at the hotel because we were pooped!

It was a massive day with tons of driving but with fun little stops. Full day in Pmac tomorrow.
